We travelled the 90 minute drive to Glen Innes and visited members there. We had a lovely visit with Sister June Hidden at her home. She is a wonderful person that we love to visit. We gave her a Gordon B. Hinkley Teachings of the Presidents manual and some Christmas Fruitcake. After, we stopped at a darling antique store in Glen Innes (where Sister Berger bought two neclaces) and then dropped some Primary materials and membership records off at the Benesch household.
Their little lambs are getting big.

We invited Brother Smith who had to work even though his family are away with family in Towoomba, and the new elders, Elder Bell from Kaysville, Utah and Elder Hutka, from Czech Republic. Elder Berger cooked the steaks and we enjoyed fun talk along with the dessert Brother Smith made, what he called a Cheaters Cake. That is crushed up chocolate cookies, whip cream and raspberries on top. He said it is a cheat because it looks complicated but is super easy.

We conducted an addiction recovery lesson for an investigator and attended a discussion with an investigator and our new elders today. The Relief Society sisters met at the White Bull to have lunch. I enjoyed a rump steak, fresh green beans, pumpkin and french fries. We had a lovely time. It was 90 degrees F today so rather hot. President Checketts wanted all missionaries to be inside for good by 5:00 p.m. so we rented the old movie, To Have and to Have Not with Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart and ate pizza.
Fireworks were displayed at 9:00 p.m. and then again at midnight. Here is my poor cell phone picture of a few:

A very busy, hectic day for the Sabbath. We had visitors in church today so Primary had extra kids. I taught CTR, watched the nursery kids at the same time and then helped with Sharing Time. Elder Berger gave his first lesson on the Doctrine and Covenants. The elders, being new, were on their own for dinner so we invited them to join us for spaghetti. We had a good visit and planned our week. We had a good discussion on how amazing the legacy Joseph Smith left behind and how impossible it was to any of us that he made any of it up.
We will start helping Elder Hutka with his English this week/
