After teaching early morning seminary we finished a quick packing and headed for Charlestown for a District Missionary Training which includes a satellite broadcast from SLC with the Missionary Executive Committee.
It is about a five hour drive but we arrived in time to take a walk on a very foggy beach. Elder Berger booked a lovely bed and breakfast room in a converted house. The decoration was Buddhist and Hindu and the pool had a variety of statutes and New Age music played.
Nice looking bed, I wish is was as comfortable as it looked. The suite was very nice and very clean.
Lots of moisture in the air. The beach was crowded compared to what we are used to.
The waves were good and we saw several people surfing.
Nice Swimming pool and great decor outside where breakfast was served.
This was right across from the dunnie in the bathroom.
It also had this extra large sink for very short people to wash their hands. At least that's what it looked like to us unsophisticated folks from Utah.
With my new friend, waiting for breakfast.
Our bed and breakfast provided a lovely choice of three different menus. We ate by the pool and then drove to the chapel for our district conference. Both of our elders are being moved again this transfer, when both leave it is called being "shotgunned". We said goodbye at the conference as they won't be going back to Armidale. The training was very good and the broadcast helpful. We had lunch, continued training and left for home about 4:00 p.m. It was nice, as always, to talk to the other senior couples.
Breakfast consisted of an omelette with toast and juice.
President Checketts addressing the group
District conferences conclude with President Checketts asking about seven to ten missionaries to bear their testimonies. Elder Berger was asked today.
A a piece of a rainbow peaks through the sky as we travel home.
We arived home at 9:00 p.m. a tiring drive.
I got this in a text from an Australian friend. All of these snakes but 4 are found in Australia. Luckily, we have only seen a couple of them. Along with the spiders, these snakes make me look in all the nooks and crannies, trees, and grasses before I will venture in.

We had a lovely Fast and Testimony meeting. There was a bit of drama from one of the members after who was struggling with family issues but everything else went as it should. I taught sharing time and music and Elder Berger taught Gospel Doctrine.
We received a lovely phone call and follow-up email from Sister Joanne Pearce, the new member that we helped to teach when she was investigating. She moved to Salt Ash. She called to let us know she was doing baptisms for the dead for her mother and father and that she was having her patriarchal blessing. We are so happy she is continuing to progress in the gospel. We told her to let us know a couple of weeks in advance of her taking out her endowments and we would plan to go with her.
