As the MacDonald's are leaving to spend Christmas in Brisbane, we hurried over early this morning to deliver their gifts from the branch Christmas party they missed. and then hurried back to skype with some of our children which is always a hilight of the week.

A quick visit to the Benesch's to drop off a Christmas card and plate of treats. Now they were given baby turkeys!!

Sister Styles invited the elders and us to lunch. She has many allergies to food so our meal consisted of ham, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, celery, beetroot (pickled beets to us Americans) and for dessert strawberries, blueberries and fresh cream. They don't have much money and he has serious health issues so it was terribly sweet of them to have us ovcer.

I am playing a Christmas medley for our musical rest hymn on Sunday so we went to the church where I practiced. We also had an appointment to have the car serviced and walked over to pick it up when it was finished. I heard a call, "Sister Berger!" It was my primary girl, Devika Wilson, wanting me to see the face painting she received at a hospital party she attended. I used to do face painting but I wasn't very popular. I used a roller.
That evening Sister Tan invited us and the elders over for a steak dinner to pay the elders back for moving some of her furniture. She also invited Sister Betts. The agreement was that Elder Berger, whom the elders said cooked the best steaks, cooked the meat. We had a lovely meal and enjoyable conversation. Sister Tan has been inactive for over four years (just returned to activity a couple of months ago) but knows the gospel, having joined the church when she was fourteen.

I baked oatmeal cookies and we made a plate of candy and cookies and took around to our neighbors here in Coleman Court. Elder Berger, wearing his Acubra hat and displaying our gifts in the hat as well.
It may be ugly, but it blocks the sun.

This is the entire group who attended Christmas sacrament meeting (twelve of us) It was a wonderful, spiritual Sacrament meeting. I asked the two departing Elders to share their testimonies and they were very emotional. Brother Benesch spoke and talked about the Savior's role in his life and how much the Savion should mean to us all. Sister Berger played a beautiful Christmas medely and I finished up by telling the stories of some General Authorities and their fondest Christmas memories. I believe that everyone who attended was very glad that they were there.
